Seven Wildcats Make All-District Squad Following First Winning Season on Gridiron in Five Seasons

The Madill Wildcats’ football team is being recognized for stellar play following the season in which Madill posted a winning season for the first time in five seasons and matched the number of wins (6) of the 2016 ‘Cats. 

Seven ‘Cats in total have made the 3A-2 all-district team. Senior quarterback Kendall Robertson earned offensive player of the year. Nick Northcutt was tabbed as co-receiver of the year. Jorge Martinez was selected as a first-team offensive lineman. Tito Gomez garnered first-team linebacker recognition. Zeke Fuentes was named a first-team defensive back. 

Cornelius Smith was honorable mention linebacker and Danny Lima was honorable mention defensive lineman.

“They showed great leadership all season and raised the bar for Madill football,” Madill football head coach Chad Speer said. “Very happy for the kids that received all-district. They worked extremely hard in the off season to prepare for the season and their work paid off.”
