Lady 'Cats Remain in Top 10, 'Cats Stay in Top 25; Football Travels to Pauls Valley, Link to Watch

The Madill Lady Wildcats cross country team holds steady at No. 8 in the latest poll released by OHSTrack. The boys move down a spot to No. 24. Isabel Sanchez has the seventh fastest time in the class at 12:22.58. The varsity cross country team’s next meet is the Class 4A regional Oct. 23. They will not run Oct. 15 at Byng.

The Madill (4-2) varsity football team is heading to play Pauls Valley on the road at 7 p.m. on Thursday (Oct. 14) because of fall break. The ‘Cats are looking to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot. They will arrive at Whacker Park with a 1-2 mark in district play when they face the Panthers. Pauls Valley is 2-4 overall on the season. The Wildcats’ most recent victory against the Panthers came in 2012. The game is expected to be streaming on Madill’s Livestream platform.
