The Madill boys basketball club finished the pre-Christmas portion of the schedule with a 44-38 victory at Davis Tuesday night. However, the Lady Wildcats fell short to the Davis squad, 49-29.
Seth Coleman scored in double figures as the ‘Cats outpaced the Wolves in the second and third quarters of the contest. The game opened with a six-all tie by the end of the first frame. Madill took the lead in the second stanza and never relinquished it. The Wildcats led the Wolves 22-18 at the break. They had a 32-26 advantage by the close of the third quarter.
The Madill girls were tied at six-all by the end of the first period. Madill only trailed 18-15 by halftime. Madill kept it within two possessions by the end of the third quarter at 29-23. Davis finished the victory by scoring 20 points in the final frame.
