Veterans Day Program Planned Friday in Madill Event Center

Madill Schools hosts a Veterans Day program at 9 a.m. on Friday in the Madill Event Center. The speech department presents the program and the Madill band is expected to perform patriotic tunes for those that attend.

“If we fail to honor our veterans, we are dishonoring our country,” Madill High School freshman Bryce McGee said.

This will be the first time since 2019 that the students and community are to be honoring the veterans together in person in an assembly on campus.

Covid restrictions halted the gathering in 2020 where only a video could be shared online. Only those participating in the program were allowed to attend the assembly in 2021 in the Wildcat Fieldhouse.
