The Madill High School student council reached and exceeded the goal at the blood drive Thursday by netting 69 units for the Oklahoma Blood Institute.

"Giving blood saves lives," MHS student Kaitlen Melson said.

Donors received refreshments and a choice of an OU or OSU t-shirt.

Students have the opportunity to earn an OBI Honor Cord for graduation if they meet certain requirements of donation.
