Kortlyn Yow's hit brought home Madison Jowers to put the finishing touches on a 16-8, run-rule win in game two against the Ada Cougars Monday (Aug. 28) night on the road. That capped more than five hours on the softball diamond for the clubs slugging it out.
Madill made a furious comeback stand up in game one to clinch an 11-8 triumph in extra innings. Rylee Ruff gloved the final out at first base to salt away the win for Madill. The Lady 'Cats trailed 8-2 going into the top of the seventh, but promptly answered with six runs to tie the contest eight-all. Madill prevailed with three runs in the extra frame and holding the Lady Cougs from scoring again.
The Lady 'Cats again had to bounce back from a deficit early in game two to sail by with an eight-run win in six innings.
