Madill Storms Back on Bridge Creek to Prevail in First Football Game of New Campaign

Madill rattled off 34 unanswered points to put away Bridge Creek Friday night in the football season opener at Blake Smiley Stadium. Behind 7-0, the 'Cats clawed back in the first quarter to take the lead and post a 34-21 win.

Ferman Lafitta got things rolling when he took a Seth Coleman pass 42 yards for the 'Cats' first score with 5:25 left in the first. Dekevis Jordan ran for a 33-yard touchdown to put Madill ahead at 12-7. Jordan scored his second TD from six yards out in the second frame as Madill led 20-7. Trevor Goff traversed 71 yards on a punt return for a score at the 4:02 mark of the second quarter. Goff again found paydirt on a 65-yard pass play from Coleman. Bridge Creek mounted a comeback attempt by scoring two more TDs  in the fourth frame.
